I’d say it wears a little longer than my Physician’s Formula bronzer.

This could be because of my oily skin though. It wears for a few hours before disappearing. The bronzer applies pretty smoothly and blends out evenly. It also takes a little more time than it would with a softer bronzer, but you don’t need to work as hard to blend out harsh edges. It’s not that easily to go overboard.īecause of that, it’s easy to gradually build up a contour. My brush certainly picks up powder, but there’s no need to go in with a light hand. Took me some getting used to, but it’s not a bad thing. I’m used to really soft bronzers that pick up a bunch of powder on my brush really easily- this one doesn’t do that so much. What surprised me about this powder bronzer is how dense it was. People say it smells yummy like chocolate, but it doesn’t really smell like food… At best I would say it smells like cocoa powder and maybe vanilla? Or marshmallows.

I wish the Chocolate Soleil Bronzer was unscented. I’m a little sensitive about fragrances in my products, particularly my bronzers. It might not suit me the best, but that’s not a fault of the product. I still think that Medium/Deep is a nice color. It’s nice when I want a more dramatic look and would look good in photography, but it’s a little much for my everyday use. I can make it work if I’m careful- it does add an instantly sculpted look, but it also can look a little dirty on me. I’m about a light medium to a medium so this bronzer is a little dark for me. It’s closer to a contour shade than it is a bronzer which is great for those with medium or deeper skin tones. The shade in Medium/Deep is a matte cool-toned brown. It’s so far from the actual product! I expected more. While I understand that this is only a mini version of the Chocolate Soleil Bronzer and that the real thing comes in sturdy, prettier packaging, I couldn’t believe I actually paid for this cheapo thing. I bent a corner of the cover trying to open this up for the first time.

The paper cover has the name of the brand and product, similar to the full sized bronzer. 08oz bronzer comes in a cheap, plastic, square clamshell insert with a paper cover. So I was really surprised with the packaging when I got it. Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer Packaging Keep reading for my thorough review on the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer! I originally intended for this to be one single post, but I write too much, haha.

I’m going to split this Kiss & Makeup set review into two parts: this post will cover the bronzer and a different post will cover the lipstick and whether the set was worth it. Still, the sizes of the bronzer and lipstick are great for really testing out the products to see if the full-sized purchase is worth it. The bronzer was a lot smaller than I had anticipated it to be, given the deceivingly bigger box packaging. The La Creme lipstick was just an added bonus.īoth items in this kit are small.
